Highly experienced career nanny needed for an energetic 20 month old living in Voorburg.

 

The days can either be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday or Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The hours will be 7.30 - 6.30pm but the family will also consider 7.45am - 6.30pm or 8 - 6.30pm. The arrangement for the other days is to be confirmed. He will either attend daycare or be cared for by his parents. He may attend preschool a few mornings a week from May. The family is very flexible on the start date, you need to be able to start by December 2020 at the latest. 

You need to be a self motivated person, who is very approachable, capable of working independently and open minded. Key skills are being able to multi task and extremely proactive with a strong work ethic. 

Part of your job will be teaching key skills e.g. using utensils, brushing teeth and encouraging language skills. He loves being out and about and enjoys attending play gym, children’s book museum and petting zoos. The toddler is rocked to sleep so you need to be very patient and have a calm manner. During nap times you need to plan appropriate activities, plan and cook his meals and tidy up after yourself and toddler. It’s important you are very development focused and enjoy researching and planning activities. You need to offer emotional support whenever the child is upset and be very attentive. 

You need to have high hygiene standards, wash your hands regularly and be cautious about Covid19. 

 

Nursery duties are part of this job. You are not required to do the toddler’s ironing. Being a confident cook is vital. You are expected to do a mixture of batch cooking and preparing fresh meals. It’s a bonus if you are happy to cook for the parents every so often. You need to be experienced encouraging toddlers to eat a wide variety of fresh, healthy food.  The toddler naps for around two hours a day so you will have the time for these tasks. 

Mum works a five minute cycle away although the parents are working from home at the moment. 

It's important you have very good communication skills and are happy to update the parents throughout the day. 

There is an open plan kitchen and living area plus a garden to play in. You need to be very organised and ensure the house is left tidy at the end of the day. 

The parents would love at least a year commitment ideally longer.

There will be an initial interview then potentially a month of paid weekend trial days. 

Candidates need to live within walking, biking or driving distance. Punctually and reliability is extremely important.

Candidates must have previous extensive experience caring for toddlers and working as a nanny.
