Two sweet sisters age 3.5 years old and 14 month old are looking for a proactive nanny with a warm and caring approach. The American/Dutch family are living in Amsterdam centre very close to the Amstel and a five minute walk from Vijzelgracht metro station. 

There are two options for days and hours for this job either:

 

Option 1: Monday: 14:00 to 19:00, Tuesday: 14:00 to 19:00, Wednesday: 12:00 to 18:00, and Thursday: 14:00 to 19:00. If possible the family would like one proxy parenting night per month from 18:00 on Friday to 12:00 on a Saturday or one Saturday morning from 08:00 to 12:00. The job may start with twenty hours then increase to thirty hours a week in August. 

Option 2: Or Wednesday's and Friday's from 08:00 to 18:00. There is the possibility for extra hours during the evenings or weekend. The family are still working out their exact childcare needs so flexibility is vital with this job. 

Part of your job will be collecting and dropping the girls at daycare and school. The family will provide an electric bakfiets or GVB card. Working on their English language skills is an important part of this job. You will need to plan appropriate activities at home including reading books, playing games, music and arranging trips to the museums and zoo.  If you love doing arts and crafts and are passionate about outside play this job will suit you well. 

It's vital you are happy to help around the house duties include leaving the house tidy at the end of each day, tidying the children's clothes and toys, tidying up after meals, walking the dog, loading and unloading the dishwasher, hanging laundry to dry and preparing groceries and meals for the children. ​You will have time to do these duties as the eldest will be attending school full time from August 2020. On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday the 14 month old is at daycare. There is a housekeeper who does the cleaning. 

Ideal candidates will be able to maintain clear boundaries, encourage good manners but are also playful and creative.  A high level of communication is important. 
 

The family eat an organic diet. They have a small dog. 


At the moment the Dad is working from home he normally works in Switzerland during the week. This is mainly a sole charge job although at times the Mum will be around.

There is the potential of traveling in Europe with this family. This is not a requirement. The family usually take one trip in July/August and one in the winter around January/February. Destinations will likely be France, Spain, Italy, or Switzerland. Separate accommodation will be provided, either a room in the villa or hotel room and all travel costs with be covered. 

 

The family would love to find a nanny keen to build a strong relationship with the children and happy to commitment long term.
