Temporary summer nanny is required for two boys age 3.5 years old and 11 months old.
The Dutch/Lebanese family usually live in Ghana. They have a second home in Amsterdam. Due to COVID19 the family are temporarily staying in The Netherlands. At the moment the family is looking for someone who can commit from now - end of August. There is the possibility of the job continuing into September. At the moment the family would like a nanny who is available four days per week. They would love someone happy to also work two evenings from 7pm - 12 ideally Thursday and Saturday. If you are working during the evening on the Thursday your hours would change during the day. Due to the unforeseen circumstances the family need someone very flexible happy to work around their needs. Ideally you could start ASAP but the family can wait until beginning of July.
To apply you must be a highly experienced confident nanny. You need to be extremely proactive and use your initiative to provide a variety of fun and educational activities for the children.
This is a sole charge job although the parents might be around as they are currently working from home. The Dad is travelling during July and August.
The 3.5 year old attends preschool four mornings per week. The 11 month old takes two long naps during the day. The family have structure and routine in place which you would need to follow. The family live a couple of minutes walk from the Vondelpark. The parents would like you to focus on spending time outside with the children. The family are happy for you to use your initiative to plan activities including crafts, baking, reading and work on teaching the 3.5 year old to count. You will have access to a bakfiets.
Cooking for the children, keeping children's rooms, play area and toys tidy, doing the children's ironing will be part of your responsibilities. Just generally helping maintain a tidy household. You don't need to do the children's washing. It's a bonus if you are happy to cook for the whole family (not a requirement).
Ideally candidates are very focused on the children, fun and discreet.
Ideally candidates will speak fluent Dutch but the family are happy to have an English speaking nanny. It's a bonus if you speak Lebanese Arabic or Syrian Arabic.
The family might travel in Europe for a 7 - 10 days they would like the nanny to accompany them.
