Social, chatty 12 month old needs a nanny two days a week. Ideal candidates are nurturing with a strong moral compass and have a positive, outgoing attitude.
Ideally the hours will be 8.30 - 6.30pm but they will also consider 9 - 6pm. There is currently some flexibility on the days but ideally you will be available two consecutive weekdays and willing to commit for at least a year. There is the option for extra evening babysitting once a week. Initially there will be a nanny for the other two days once there is availability at daycare he will transition to daycare on the other days.
The parents are originally from Australia and Germany. They recently relocated to Amsterdam from Hong Kong.
The nanny needs to speak fluent English. It’s a bonus if you speak German or Dutch.
This is a sole charge job. Both parents are currently working from home. They have a separate office space in the apartment.
Candidates need to be conscious of using their phone around the child. The nanny is not to use screen time with the toddler.
It’s important you are very social and have a large network of nanny friends and parents as the toddler is very social. The parents are very keen for the toddler to build a network of friends. He currently attends Baby Sensory classes, the family are happy to discuss joining local classes and activities. You need to encourage the toddler’s independence and meet his developmental milestones.
A safety conscious nanny is key as the toddler is very extremely curious and has a good sense of adventure. The family is keen to build a strong, open and transparent relationship with the nanny.
Nursery duties, cooking, unloading the dishwasher and running errands are part of the nannies responsibilities. The 1 year old eats a healthy, nutritious and organic diet. Cooking fresh meals is part of your duties. The little boy enjoys eating a wide variety of food. He does not eat sugar or processed food.
You don’t need to drive, the family is happy for you to take a taxi if necessary. You will also have access to a bike with a child seat to take the toddler on adventures.
Please note jobs 2095 and 2096 are for the same family. 2095 is a permanent role and 2096 is temporary.
Due to the urgent start with this job you need to have your police check and first aid to apply.
Previous experience as a nanny and previous experience working with children under the age of 18 months is required to apply for this role.
