Live out nanny/household manager required for family living in the countryside near Eindhoven. They have a curious and happy five month old.
Candidates need to be very attentive and have an engaging approach. You must be highly experienced (minimum of six years nannying experience), confident getting the baby into a routine, weaning and guiding and advising the parents when needed. The family is keen for you to take the baby to local baby classes, playgroups and activities. Playing games, being creative and planning and researching educational and sensory activities are part of your duties.
At the moment the family is confirming their exact needs potentially around 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday. The family would love some help on the weekend once a month and there is the potential for extra babysitting during the week. They also need a nanny happy to proxy parent twice a month.
This job involves nannying and household management duties. Your main focus will be the care of the baby and standard nursery duties. The job is a mixture of shared care and sole charge. Both parents work from home and have flexible schedules. Therefore your job will also include doing house management duties including general tidying, managing the family’s schedule, loading and unloading the dishwasher, checking the bills are paid, personal assistant tasks etc. It’s important you are tech savvy, use your initiative and do not require micro managing. Cleaning will be done by the weekly cleaner. This is the first time the parents are hiring a nanny so are open and keen to discuss duties and your job role.
You need to be a problem solver, very discreet and respect the family’s privacy.
Communicating and discipling with kindness are important for this job.
The family live in the countryside so it’s vital you drive. There will be access to a car when you are on duty. The local village is a 15 minute walk. The family might purchase a bakfiets.
Candidates need to be extremely proficient in English, it’s a bonus if you speak Dutch.
Travelling will be part of this role. The length of trips will vary, the longest will be for approximately two weeks. Travel will be in Europe and internationally.
It’s important you are following the rules and guidelines regarding Covid19.
You need to be able to swim.
The interview process includes an in person meeting which if success will be followed by a week long trial.
