A relaxed, friendly Scottish/Dutch family are searching for a team playing nanny. The family has four children: a baby born in February 2020, a toddler who will be two in January, a 10 year old and 12 year old.

Candidates need to be warm, kind, loyal and lots of fun. This is a relaxed informal household. Most importantly you need to be energetic and very flexible.

The job will be approximately 25 - 30 hours per week. The exact days and hours per day will be discussed during the interview process. The job will suit a nanny who is flexible, happy to babysit weekly, help on weekends and proxy parent every so often.

The Mum will be working four days per week. The parents are working from home although the Mum will also commute to The Hague a few days a week for her job. They have an office space.

The family would like a live out candidate but will consider having a live-in nanny. The live in accommodation includes your own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and private entrance. If you are a live out need you need to live locally.

They currently have someone who does the cleaning and helps out with the children at times. You will be working alongside the nanny. She speaks Spanish and Dutch so it would be ideal if you spoke one of these languages as well as fluent English. An understanding of Dutch is important for this job.

The family likes each day to have rhythm and the youngest children go to bed around the same time everyday. The toddler and baby attend creche on Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays. The 10 year old and 12 year old are with the family from Wednesday until the weekend. The older children are independent so will cycle themselves to school. Both of the older boys love football and lego and all of the children love being outside. You need to be confident taking all four children out and about by yourself, to museums, soft play and on adventures. At home the nanny needs to offer activities including sensory play, baking, painting and organising playdates. All four children love spending time together. The family have a garden and a park nearby.

The nanny needs to be hygiene and very safety conscious especially around water. It's vital you can swim.

This job is a mixture of sole charge and shared care both with the parents and the other nanny.

Nursery duties, the laundry, picking up groceries and helping with the tidying are part of this job. The nanny will be required to cook for all four children. It’s a bonus if you are an enthusiastic and confident cook.

There is access to an Urban Arrow bakfiets.

The family would like a nanny open to travelling with them.

The family has a dog, he has a dog walker four days a week but it’s important you like dogs.

Initial interviews will be via Zoom then in person. The trial period will be approximately six weeks.
