The preferred days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday however they can be flexible on the days. The grandparents and Mum will care for the children on the other days. The grandparents live 10 minutes away. Someone who can be flexible especially as the Mum will be commuting to work.

The eldest child will be six in September, his sister will be four in April and the youngest will be one in May. The children sleep well, eat a wide variety of food and in general are quite easy going. The eldest is sporty, in particular he really enjoys swimming. His sister loves her dolls and has recently started ballet classes. They both enjoy lego, puzzles and playing outside. Part of the nannies responsibilities will be driving them to their local Dutch school. From September they will be attending school full time with Wednesday afternoons off. The nanny will need to provide developmentally appropriate activities and adventures for the youngest child. There are local petting zoos and a short drive from the woods. The family are also happy to purchase a swimming pool membership for the nanny and baby. The children are allowed a small amount of screen time.

The children currently attend a bilingual school in Singapore so speak fluent English and Dutch. At home Dutch is spoken and they will be attending Dutch school so they want a native English speaking nanny who can maintain their English speaking skills.

The Mum will be partly working from home and partly commuting to Hilversum for her job. At home her office will be in the basement of the house. The Dad does not work from home, he will need to travel for work every so often.

This is a sole charge role. A nanny who is not strict but can set clear boundaries and rules will be suited to this role. Someone who generally cares for the children and their well being, who values having fun with them and being part of their day.

It’s a happy, generally relaxed family so it’s important you also bring a happy, positive energy to the house. Ideal candidates are someone who is extremely reliable, takes initiative, someone who can jump in and help when needed and is flexible if Mum is late home from work.

Standard nursery duties, cooking a simple basic meal for the whole family and tidying up after yourself are part of the nannies duties. However the parents are keen the nanny's main focus is the children.

The family have previously worked with professional nannies and both stayed long term. The parents value creating a relationship with the nanny based on mutual respect.

The family will be living in a house in a beautiful family friendly neighbourhood, a 25 minute cycle from Rotterdam centre.

Interviews will be happening over the next few months via video call. Trials will then take place at the end of July.
