Requirements 

Holgate Nannies is an intermediary agency who will help you with your job search. To register with Holgate Nannies you need a minimum of three years full time experience working as a professional nanny or three years professional full time childcare experience. Holgate Nannies is keen to know about all professional experience gained from the age of 18. It's vital your experience is varied and at a professional level. We have a selective and extensive registration process. As well as three years professional childcare experience you will need the following to be considered to work with Holgate Nannies:

  • Long term commitment in previous jobs

  • Adaptability 

  • Outstanding communication skills

  • Exemplary and checkable written and verbal references 

  • Patience

  • Understanding of early childhood development

  • Confident cooking skills

  • Highly efficient

  • Capable of planning a educational and varied schedule for the children

  • Understanding of the importance of being flexible for your nanny families needs

  • High level of professionalism. 

Holgate Nannies recruits career nannies who are willing to go that extra mile. We are looking for nannies who are serious about their career as a professional nanny. 

We value experience as much as qualifications so make sure you mention both when applying. You don't need childcare qualifications to register with Holgate Nannies as we are an agency rather than a bureau.

All nannies registered with Holgate Nannies must have the following:

  • EU Passport or work permits

  • Legal to work in the Netherlands 

  • BSN number

  • Written and verbal references 

  • Minimum of three years as a professional nanny or three years childcare experience

  • Police check 

  • Certified Paediatric First Aid qualification

  • High school qualifications.

​Interviews take place at our offices in Amsterdam. 

We will check five or more years of references. Please make your references aware we will be contacting them. References from family members and relatives are not accepted. References must be written and verbal.
